How good is your film vocabulary? Will you be able to answer and talk about all the questions that appear in this short video? Well, if your answer is yes, well done! But if you’re not sure, you can give it a go on this four-minute video, where you can revise some of the vocabulary for the level and do some speaking practice.
In this video, you will revise some of the expressions you should be familiar with (the part that is devoted to vocabulary quiz). After the vocabulary quiz, you have a typical speaking question where you should stop the video and be able to answer the question. Remember that for this level, your answers shouldn’t be sort of ‘Oh, the last film I watched was *any example.’ Your answer should be longer, where you should be able to provide some details like: the type of film you watched, where you watched it, and why you decided to watch it.
By this, what I mean is that when we as EOI teachers listen to you, we need what I call ‘chicha’ so as to assess different aspects of your language such as vocabulary, structures, fluency, pronunciation, etc. So if your answer is basic, you won’t be showing us anything interesting. Get it?
So, having said this, if you need some time to jot down some ideas and look up those words that you have on the tip of your tongue but just can’t seem to remember, do it. Remember, all the practice you can get is worth its weight in gold.
PS. If the music drives you potty, just turn it down 🙂
