If you read or heard “Plastic pollution affects our health and the health of the planet.”, what would come to your mind?
Would you stop to think about all the plastic items you possess or threw away just yesterday? You might already know how plastic impacts the environment. However, could you reduce this material from your household? Could you also remove it from your shopping trolley? This is easier said than done! I know. Achieving a zero net in terms of plastic is almost impossible. This is true even when we carry a reusable shopping bag around or when we prefer to queue up at the fishmonger instead of just grabbing the same product sealed in plastic, with the aim of making environmentally friendly choices.
In this video, the speaker discusses the effects of plastic in the oceans. They also explain what happens to all the litter that ends up in the sea. The level is of a B2 but there are also a number of words that I will pre-teach and you can look at before you watch the video.
Pre-teaching difficult words
